Chuck Guy

Football

Chuck Guy was born in 1937 in Sparta, Wisconsin, where he was raised on a dairy farm. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps, serving aboard the USS Canberra and then onto Quantico, Virginia where he served as a military policeman. Chuck began his officiating career at Camp Lejeune, where he established the New Rivers Officials Association.

Following a tour in Viet Nam, Chuck reported to Camp Pendleton where he and Frank Wilhelm (SDCSOHOF), founded the Margarita grown children. Officials Association in 1968, which was succeeded by the Camp Pendleton Officials Association, in 1984. Chuck expanded his football officiating

by becoming a member of the San Diego County Football Officials Association.

To this day, as he works with the Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), taking care of the sports facilities, recruiting new officials and keeping the sports programs going at MCCS. It is common place to find Chuck on the sidelines taking notes to assist the working officials, especially the new ones.

Chuck and his wife Margaret live in Fallbrook and have three grown children.
