David Hardage

Softball - Basketball - Football

David Hardage was born in the State of Georgia, where he received his early education. He continued his education by attending College and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering.

He was drafted into the United States military in 1971 and served 27 years in the Navy.

David began his officiating career in 1980 and has enjoyed a career spanning 39 years career of sports officiating. He has worked the San Diego CIF Championships in Softball, Football and Basketball. He officiated the 2015 Division I California State Football Championship. He is currently a Crew Chief/Referee

officiating at the High School Level in San Diego. David is currently instructing the Softball Class for 21 years, an instructor for the SDCFOA 2nd Year Football Class and has been actively mentoring officials for 25 years.

David has officiated NCAA softball since 1997 and umpiring the PAC 10 Conference, PAC 12 Conference, Mountain West Conference, and Big West Conference. He has been selected in six NCAA Division I Regionals and two NCAA Division I Super Regional and numerous Division II Regionals and Super Regionals. He was selected to work at the USA X World Junior Men’s Championship held at Whitehorse, Yukon Canada in 2014.

David is a member of the Southern California Collegiate Football Officials Association and worked NCAA Junior College games primarily as a Back Judge, Side Judge and Referee. He officiated multiple NCAA Junior College Bowl Games and the NCAA Junior College Championship in 2014. He worked Junior College basketball until 2014.
