David has been a referee for 39 years. For 30 of those years, he has been a Division I referee working in the PAC-10, West Coast, Big 12, WAC, Big Sky, Big West and Conference USA.
He was selected to officiate eight Final Four games including the National Championship in 1992 and 1996 and the National Semi-Final game in 1994, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2003.
He retired from officiating in 2009 and was selected as the Coordinator of Officials in the WCC.
