Jim Gilchrist

A native San Diegan, James graduated from San Deigo High School in 1956 where he played basketball and baseball. 

His professional baseball career included playing for the Detroit Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. In 1959 James began officiating baseball and basketball. He is a 29-year member of the San Diego Basketball Referees Association and Appointment Secretary for nine years.
