Joe Harris

Youth Baseball

Volunteered In 1973 as an umpire in Skyline Little League. Joe served as Umpire in Chief, President of the League and more. Joe was also involved with Skyline Pop Warner as a coach and a mentor. In 1980 joined the San Diego County Baseball Umpires Association, participated in many CIF playoffs and finals over the years. Joe is still an active life member with the San Diego County Baseball Umpires Association.

In the late 80’s Joe was appointed Umpire In Chief of the 19 leagues in District 42. He is also now serving in the same capacity in District 66.

Joe officiated at every level of the Annual Little League All-Star Tournament. In 1996 Joe was selected to umpire in the Big League 

World Series, which consisted of kids from ages 16-18, for the Little League Organization. After two weeks of excellent baseball, Joe was selected and presented with the Tom Owens Memorial award for outstanding umpire.
