Ken graduated from Escondido High School in 1949 and from there took his track career to SDSU.
He was an active member of the San Diego County Football Officials Assocation from 1960 until 1995.
Ken officiated at all levels from youth to NCAA.
In 2004, Ken received the High School Sports Association of San Diego "Official of the Year Award"'.
