Mike started his Officiating career in 1966 umpiring high school and college baseball. A member of the San Diego County Baseball Umpires Assocation for 24 years, serving as president for 8 years; the Southern California Collegiate Umpires Assocation for 20 years. Currently serving 8th term as President; and Pacific Umpires Association for 6 years.
Served as President of Kearny Mesa Youth Umpires Assocation, was Chief Umpire of Tierrasanta Little League and was Chairman of San Diego County Sports Officials Hall of Fame.
