Pete Davis

Softball

Peter Davis, originally from Boston, spent twenty-four years in service as a Marine Corps Officer and has continued his service as the Federal Base Magistrate aboard the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton. It was while playing for the All-Marine Softball and Rugby teams that Pete was first interested in learning about umpiring. He has a career in Officiating spanning thirty-four years.

Pete currently serves as the President of the Margarita Officials Association of which he has been an active member since 1995. In addition, Pete has served as a Southern California USA Softball (USAS) Umpire Staff member, acting as North San Diego District Umpire-in-Chief and Adult Program

His service also includes being an active Umpire and presiding as the Umpire-in-Chief for the North American Fastpitch Association (NAFA), a men’s fastpitch association league, for over two decades. Pete serves as Umpire-in-Chief for the Southern California Independent Fastpitch Association (SCIFL), a local men’s fastpitch league that also took him across the border to umpire in Mexico.

Pete’s career includes USAS National Championships, two USA Men’s Major National Championships, fourteen NAFA Men’s National Championships, numerous Southern California USAS championship games, and decades of National Federation High School Federation (NHFS) post-season playoff assignments.
